Acimga listens to the community and verticalizes its activities in various technologies

The Italian Rotogravure Group by Acimga was the first to be born within the Association, in 2018, with the aim of promoting the broad and solid Italian knowhow in this printing technology, within printers, converters and brand owners. The companies which make up the Group cover all the skills around gravure: from machine manufacturers to cylinder engravers, up to ink manufacturers. Within the Group’s activities there are training courses, a technical committee focusing on national and European regulations impacting on rotogravure, discussions on possible innovations applied to this technology and Roto4All, an annual event involving all gravure community.

The Italian Corrugated Cardboard Group was born within Acimga in 2020, bringing together the main Italian machine manufacturers in the industry, with the aim of promoting this printing technology involving all the players in the supply chain, giving further support and visibility to a segment which has a high added technological value within the association’s broad service offerings. Italy is a renowned worldwide excellence in the manufacturing of machines for corrugated paperboard production, and the specificity of the Italian market has provided an early technological and innovative boost to national companies, placing them at the top of the global scene.

The Flexo Development Group was officially launched in the month of November 2022, aiming to promote flexo technology and analyse its implementation and trends in the various markets in which this technology is used. The name of the Group expressly underlines the choice to privilege the concept of development, declining it on different enabling factors: firstly, market development, but also the development of skills; the development of applications; the development of analysis, data, and functional mapping for optimal monitoring; the development of inter-associative dialogue to establish relationships with the associative and flexographic world that already exists; the development of the Made by Italy.

The Converting Group was established in February 2025 through the action of an initial promoting group that set itself the goal of giving further visibility to the product segment, promoting converting technologies and providing development tools for companies’ investments. The Group also wants to further enhance the Made in Italy of the converting sector through the implementation of fruitful relationships and collaboration activities with other players in the supply chain, such as material manufacturers and brand owners, to increase insights into the needs of output markets.
