Founded in 1999 in Germany and expanding shortly afterwards with the opening of its Italian branch, Ulmex has built its growth by continuously following the evolution of the market, anticipating its needs and investing in the development of technological solutions capable of delivering concrete and measurable benefits to printers and converters.

From the very beginning, our philosophy has been to transform technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of printing processes into innovative technologies, initially serving the European market and subsequently expanding our presence internationally.

EVOLUX: SPECIALIZATION IN LASER TECHNOLOGY

Over the past ten years, Ulmex’s main technological focus has been the development of laser technology for cleaning anilox rolls used in flexographic printing. Together with our long-standing partner Zecher GmbH, an international specialist in anilox technology, we first analysed and defined the laser cleaning process, studying in depth its interaction with the ceramic surface of the anilox. Only after defining the parameters required to ensure effective cleaning while preserving the integrity of the ceramic surface, did Ulmex start the serial production of its laser cleaning systems. This led to the development of Evolux, a complete range of laser systems designed to meet the different requirements of the market.

ONE TECHNOLOGY FOR EVERY APPLICATION

The Evolux range serves a highly diverse market, from Narrow Web and flexible packaging to paper printing, corrugated, as well as coating, varnishing, offset printing and digital printing applications. Evolux machines combine laser technology, application expertise and specialist knowledge of anilox technology. This unique know-how enables high, consistent and repeatable cleaning results while preserving the integrity of the ceramic surface over time. On request, the systems can be equipped with microscopes and analytical systems, allowing the condition of the anilox surface to be accurately monitored and supporting operators in managing the cleaning parameters. This makes it possible to adapt machine operation to different levels of technical expertise, ensuring a controlled and professional cleaning process.

Evolux: sustainable technology for high-quality printing.

“For more than 25 years, Ulmex has been providing printers and converters with technical expertise, innovation and practical solutions, with the aim of increasing productivity, reducing operating costs and contributing to a more efficient and sustainable printing process.”

Angelo Maggi, CEO Ulmex Italia srl

Ulmex’s offering goes beyond laser technology.

We complement our portfolio with a range of products and solutions specifically developed for the printing process, designed to improve efficiency, reliability and equipment management.

These include:

Company profile Founded in 1999 in Germany and expanding shortly afterwards with the opening of its Italian branch, Ulmex has built its growth by continuously following the evolution of the market, anticipating its needs and investing in the development of technological solutions capable of delivering concrete and measurable benefits to printers and converters.
